    I thought it's common wisdom already to call them "survivors" instead of "victims". Just like in German the term "Kinderschänder" (one who "brings shame or disgrace to a kid) s shunned nowadays, because it implies the kid is now soiled ("in Schande"). It's not. The kid is pristine and great. The attacker is the one whose character is soiled, who must live in shame.

    Shannon Briggs is a great boxer, but Aerts, Ignashov or Hoost would have made him fall with 2-3 leg kicks. On the other hand, he might have won against dudes who used their hands more: LeBonner, Hunt, Sefo. I wonder what would've happened if he fought Schilt.

    • @99mattdogg

      @@ScorpionSuerte he never beat Bruce Baumgartner and was his Olympic alternate in '88, '92, and, 96. That doesn't mean he isn't talented. He has a vast knowledge of wrestling technique and skill but in my numerous interactions with him, he definitely has never let that go. If that's not it, then I don't know where the giant chip on his shoulder comes from. It would be much more fair to separate his professional and personal character. Personally, he is a nice guy, willing to give a hand at the drop of a hat and don't get him started on the Fantastic 4. His professional character is quite different. Some days he'd be great to work with and the next it was like someone new was there who couldn't handle any type of criticism and passed the buck on anything that may have gone wrong whether that be logistically or on the team. To your other comment, I never said my wife hated him. I just listed his character flaws and how I felt about him. Why not have a woman as an assistant coach? My wife wiped the mat with all the male and female wrestlers they coached. Also, is that you Tom?

I know the world zeitgeist is insane right now with people making ludicrous claims like men can get pregnant, but she wrestled before the United States went crazy. She was part of the pioneering group of women who established women's wrestling in colleges and universities. She grew up wrestling boys / men because there were no other girls to wrestle. I didn't say she walked in to Penn State's or Iowa's wrestling room and put them to shame but the schools she worked at as an assistant coach and later head coach, she absolutely did. • @Korn-fu6lf
      @Korn-fu6lf 7 днів тому

      The guy Shannon was fighting was a wrestler, so his legs weren't conditioned enough. There are some fighters like Ernesto Hoost, Samkor, Veeraphol who have broken legs or arms with their kicks. Veeraphol actually went to boxing at age of 26 and became a WBA champ within 9 months and later became WBC champion with 14 defenses. There are many other muay thai fighters who became world champions in boxing within 2 years of starting boxing after the age of 21, so there are some really good boxers in muay thai and kickboxing. Of course not everyone will be the best at boxing because they might specialise on kicks instead, but even kicking specialists will have good defense against punches.

    chimps are no joke. you think of the chimp and you think “haha chimp is joke” but no my friend, that is precisely where you would be wrong because the truth of the matter is that the chimp is indeed a complete absence of what one might call a joke. in other words, the chimpanzee is arguably a relatively humorless animal in the sense that it is a serious threat or danger especially if the chimp is trained in martial arts as well, which is quite possible given the advent of modern martial arts techniques aimed at the professional fighting chimpanzee. Also, chimps are several times stronger than man because they are not the same as humans. In other words they are different. Aside from that, great video highly informative and many thanks for your dedication to education, truth, honesty, chimpanzee, and informing knowledge on us.🍌
